Notes

Trailing abutilon (Callianthe megapotamica) is a shrub for borders and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Yellow and red flowers hang like lanterns and bloom from spring until fall. Hummingbirds visit them often. You can prune it to shape, and in colder areas you can bring it indoors for winter.

Pairs well with Japanese maple, Bishop of Llandaff dahlia, and Feverfew.
