Notes
Triangle cactus (Acanthocereus tetragonus) is a succulent for containers and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its large, fragrant white blooms open at night and attract hummingbird moths. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Watch out for the long spines when you handle it.
Pairs well with Sago palm, Dragon tree, and Staghorn fern.
