Notes
'Variegatum' trailing abutilon (Callianthe megapotamica 'Variegatum') is a shrub for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies and hummingbirds visit the flowers. It grows 24 to 71 inches tall and spreads 35 to 59 inches wide, so give it room.
Pairs well with Bishop of Llandaff dahlia, Mondo grass, and Lemon Grass lemongrass.
