Notes
'Vintage Gold' sawara cypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Vintage Gold') is an evergreen shrub for borders, specimen planting, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows at a moderate pace to 60 to 84 inches tall and up to 60 inches wide. The open habit gives it a loose look. Once settled in, it tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Heather, and Autumn fern.
