Notes
'Boulevard' sawara cypress (Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard') is an evergreen conifer for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows at a moderate rate and reaches 5 to 12 feet tall. The open form spreads 2 to 4 feet wide, so give it room.
Pairs well with Mugo pine, Krossa Regal hosta, and Christmas fern.
