Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its blooms open as a blush of pale pink and attract bees and butterflies. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It also tolerates drought.
