Notes

White forsythia (Abeliophyllum distichum) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its white flowers sometimes have a pink tinge and open in early to late spring. The blooms are fragrant, and the arching branches grow at a rapid rate.
