Notes

Wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The yellowish flowers have purplish-brown centers and are fragrant. Bees visit the blooms, and the arching shrub grows slowly, so give it plenty of room.

Pairs well with Strawberry tree, Common holly, and Anemone.
