Notes

Woolly bluecurls (Trichostema lanatum) is an evergreen shrub for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Narrow, aromatic leaves cover the much-branched stems. Royal-blue flowers open in fuzzy spikes about 12 inches long.

Pairs well with Eastern mojave buckwheat, California brittlebush, and Big berry manzanita.
