Notes

Eastern mojave buckwheat (Eriogonum fasciculatum) is a shrub for borders, xeriscapes, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Flat-topped clusters of whitish or pinkish flowers open at the branch tips and are slightly fragrant. Bees and butterflies love it, and it is a valued honey plant.

Pairs well with Bright Star Spanish dagger, Giant chalk dudleya, and Common bearberry.
