Notes
Yellow fire lily (Cyrtanthus breviflorus) is a bulb for containers, borders, and summer color. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist soil. Its bright yellow tubular flowers form clusters over a long season from summer into fall, above strap-like leaves. Plant the bulb with its neck protruding from the soil. Give it a mulch of fallen leaves in winter.
Pairs well with Calla lily, Labyrinth dahlia, and Lemon Grass lemongrass.
