Notes

Yellow necklacepod (Sophora tomentosa) is a shrub for low maintenance planting and specimen use. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Spikes of yellow flowers rise over silvery-green foliage and attract bees and butterflies. Seedpods hang on the shrub for a year or more.

Pairs well with Coco plum, Deergrass, and Saw palmetto.
