Notes
Acton encelia (Encelia actoni) is a shrub for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Yellow flowers appear in late winter, spring, and summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the shrub handles drought well.
Pairs well with Desert mallow, Eastern mojave buckwheat, and Beavertail cactus.

CA and NV.
