Notes

'Africa' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Africa') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and it draws butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Rabbits tend to pass it by. The plant also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Inca Gold yarrow, Black-eyed Susan, Nodding onion, and Sedge.
