Notes

'El Desperado' daylily (Hemerocallis 'El Desperado') is a perennial for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant summer flowers. Rabbits tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Nodding onion, and Sedge.
