Notes
'Alain Mimoun' dahlia (Dahlia 'Alain Mimoun') is a bulb for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Pink petals splashed with dark red top 36 to 48 inch stems, and bees visit the blooms from summer to frost. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Protect it from winter wet, or lift and store the tubers in a cool, dry, frost free place.
Pairs well with Millenium ornamental onion, Shenandoah switchgrass, and Miss Molly orange ball tree.
