Notes
'Alba' bougainvillea (Bougainvillea glabra 'Alba') is a shrub for borders, hedges, containers, and pollinator gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in spring and summer, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers. The arching, evergreen stems grow fast and tolerate drought and salt.
Pairs well with Black Knight butterfly bush, Marvel of peru, and American Dawn dahlia.
