Notes
'Alceste' daffodil (Narcissus 'Alceste') is a bulb for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant white blooms have a rich lemon yellow cup and draw butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. C.G. van Tubergen bred it.
Pairs well with Lenten rose, Duchesse de Nemours peony, and Heather.
