Notes

'Duchesse de Nemours' peony (Paeonia 'Duchesse de Nemours') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant white blooms have a light yellow center and light green highlights, and bees and butterflies visit them. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Keep it away from dogs and cats, since it is toxic to both.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Clustered bellflower, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
