Notes

Alpine knotweed (Koenigia alpina) is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows 35 to 59 inches tall and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Late boneset, Marsh spurge, Miscanthus, and Mount Everest ornamental onion.
