Notes

Marsh spurge (Euphorbia palustris) is a perennial for borders, rain gardens, meadows, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It forms a clumping mound of green foliage that grows 24 to 36 inches tall and wide. Greenish yellow bracts appear in spring and attract butterflies.

Pairs well with Hardy hibiscus, Blue-eyed grass, and Prairie dropseed.
