Notes

Alum root (Heuchera micrantha) is a perennial for borders, ground cover, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Airy sprays of small white flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It can spread rapidly, so give it room.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Cinnamon fern, and Lily of the valley.
