Notes

Lady's mantle (Alchemilla mollis) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Chartreuse flowers open in spring and again in summer, and butterflies visit them. It forms a dense green mound that grows 12 to 18 inches tall.

Pairs well with Fire and Ice hosta, Western sword fern, Carlton daffodil, and Quick Fire panicle hydrangea.

Central Asia and Türkiye.
