Notes

Coralbells (Heuchera sanguinea) is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, shade gardens, and woodland settings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average moisture. Small coral-red bells hang in narrow clusters on nearly leafless stalks above a mound of heart-shaped leaves, and hummingbirds visit them. Divide older clumps in spring and discard the woody centers to boost flowering. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Western sword fern, Woodland phlox, and Sedge.
