Notes
'America' sweet pea (Lathyrus odoratus 'America') is an annual for borders, containers, and cottage gardens. Cool weather suits it, and it can take a light frost. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows fast to about 59 to 71 inches tall, and the fragrant flowers attract butterflies and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Give it a support to climb.
Pairs well with Double Click Snow Puff cosmos, Common flax, and Charm peony.
