Notes
American columbo (Frasera caroliniensis) is a perennial for woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and moist, clay soil. It can reach 96 inches tall. The flowers are white, green, and brown, and they add a tall, unusual accent to a shady spot.
Pairs well with Red trillium, Palm sedge, and Deciduous azalea.
