Notes

Palm sedge (Carex muskingumensis) is a grass-like perennial for rain gardens, ground cover, borders, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil of most types. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and wide at a moderate pace, and butterflies and birds visit it. It sits low on the menu for deer. It also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Meadowsweet, and Blue-eyed grass.
