Notes

Angel's fishing rod (Dierama pulcherrimum) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Pink or white flowers dangle from arching stems in early to late summer, and hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The foliage stays evergreen.

Pairs well with Agapanthus, New Zealand wind grass, and Mexican daisy.
