Notes

Agapanthus (Agapanthus africanus) is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant blue or white flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to mid autumn, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The leaves stay evergreen.

Pairs well with Balloon flower, Bloodgood Japanese maple, and Lemon Grass lemongrass.
