Notes

Antelope bitterbrush (Purshia tridentata) is a shrub for hedges, xeriscapes, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. The gray-green leaves are semi-evergreen and curl inward in scorching weather. Cream-colored flowers are short-lived, and bees and butterflies visit them. The stems often root where they touch the ground.

Pairs well with Big sagebrush, Rubber rabbitbrush, and Idaho fescue.
