Notes

Arrowwood viburnum (Viburnum dentatum) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flower clusters give way to dark blue berries that attract birds. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It suckers freely from the base, so give it room.

Pairs well with Paper birch, Red cedar, Candy Stripe moss phlox, and Red fescue.

Native range

Eastern North America.
