Notes

'Autumn Red' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Autumn Red') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. The fragrant red flowers have a gold throat and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it easy to care for.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Indian grass, and Aromatic aster.
