Notes
'Ava' Bill Williams Mountain giant hyssop (Agastache 'Ava') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows 24 to 48 inches tall and bears rose pink flowers with raspberry calyxes from early summer to early autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Feather reed grass, and Little bluestem.
