'Bacardi' dahlia (Dahlia 'Bacardi') is a bulb for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Large, fully double flowers in dusty raspberry-rose have darker centers and sit on sturdy stems. Butterflies visit the blooms. In areas with wet winters, lift the bulbs and store them in a cool, dry place indoors.
Pairs well with Shenandoah switchgrass, Star of persia, and Lime Zinger sedum.
