This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. It blooms from early to late summer, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers. Deer rarely make it their first choice. You can cut the stems for bouquets.
Pairs well with Creeping zinnia, Flowering tobacco, Foxy Lady dahlia, and Black-eyed Susan vine.
