Notes
Balloon plant (Gomphocarpus physocarpus) is an annual for borders, cottage gardens, and cut flower arrangements. This plant likes full sun. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and spreads 24 to 36 inches wide, so give it room. Small white flowers open in mid to late summer. They are followed by round, puffy seed pods that give the plant its name.
Pairs well with Lemon Grass lemongrass, Totally Tangerine dahlia, and Purple sage.
Native range
Southeastern Africa.
