Notes

'Bantling' dahlia (Dahlia 'Bantling') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and bears orange-brown blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers. G. Aartsen bred it in 1980.

Pairs well with Tam Tam dahlia, Lucifer montbretia, Dense blazing star, and Black-eyed Susan.
