Notes

'Barbara' crabapple (Malus 'Barbara') is a tree for pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It has an upright-spreading, vase-shaped habit. Dark pink flowers open from early to late spring. They attract butterflies, bees, and birds, and the tree tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Rowan, Spiked speedwell, and Silver Parrot tulip.
