Notes

'Royal Raindrops' crabapple (Malus 'Royal Raindrops') is a tree for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 15 to 20 feet tall and 12 to 15 feet wide. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and the flowers are fragrant. Once settled in, it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Norway spruce, Gladiator ornamental onion, Blue grama, and Royal fern.
