Notes
Spiked speedwell (Veronica spicata) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flower use, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Blue flowers appear from early to late summer on a clumping plant that reaches 24 to 36 inches tall. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Many Happy Returns peony, and Pinky Winky panicle hydrangea.
