Notes

Bearberry cotoneaster (Cotoneaster dammeri) is a creeping evergreen shrub for ground cover, rock gardens, borders, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. White flowers attract bees and butterflies, and birds visit the plant too. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows rapidly and stays about 12 inches tall.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Bush honeysuckle, and Ornamental onion.
