Notes

Bellwort (Uvularia grandiflora) is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland plantings, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It forms clumps of erect stems with twisted, lance-shaped leaves. Pendulous yellow bell-shaped flowers with twisted petals open in early to late spring. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Canadian white violet, and Red elderberry.
