Notes

'Black Magic' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Black Magic') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It grows about 35 to 47 inches tall and bears fragrant flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Drought and salt are not a problem once it settles in.

Pairs well with Inca Gold yarrow, Black-eyed Susan, Nodding onion, and Sedge.
