Notes

Blue bamboo (Himalayacalamus hookerianus) is a grass for containers, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It stays evergreen and grows about 122 to 240 inches tall. It sits low on the menu for deer. Plant it where it has room to grow into a tall screen.

Pairs well with Agapanthus, Star jasmine, and Monkey-puzzle tree.
