Notes
'Boom Boom Red' dahlia (Dahlia 'Boom Boom Red') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. The dark purple-red blooms are about 4 inches wide and sit on stems about 35 inches tall. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the flowers. P.K.J. Smits bred it in 2004.
Pairs well with Vermillionaire cuphea, Lemon Grass lemongrass, and Indian-hawthorn.
