Notes

Indian-hawthorn (Rhaphiolepis indica) is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. White to pale pink flowers open in early to late spring and smell sweet, and bees and birds visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer. The dense, evergreen growth fills a space fast.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Mondo grass, and Live oak.
