Notes

'Bridger' onion (Allium cepa 'Bridger') is a vegetable for borders, containers, and the food garden. It is typically grown as an annual. Few crops handle cold as well, and with a little winter protection it grows on through light freezes. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Gardeners grow it as the best onion for overwintering in the North.

Pairs well with Sweet Success cucumber, Hidcote lavender, and Ghost pepper.
