Notes

'Hidcote' lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The purple flowers are fragrant and open in spring and summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. The gray-green leaves stay on the plant all year.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Japanese forest grass, and Knock Out rose.
