Notes

Brittlebush (Encelia farinosa) is a shrub for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Bright yellow, daisy-like flowers float above silvery, woolly foliage and attract butterflies, bees, and birds. The stems give off a fragrant resin.

Pairs well with Creosote bush, Ocotillo, Chuparosa, and American century plant.
