Notes
'Burbank' Chilean guava (Ugni molinae 'Burbank') is a shrub for fruit, hedges, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Fragrant white bell-shaped flowers open in late spring. Pink to red berries follow from summer to fall. You can enjoy them fresh or in jams, and the berries also make a traditional liqueur.
Pairs well with White sage, Monkey-puzzle tree, and Ruby rose.
